Biological/Functional activity & target protein
Antihypertensive activity

The antihypertensive activity of goat milk hydrolysate rich in TGPIPN, SLPQ, SQPK was studied in SHR. The SHR fed for 12 wk a diet enriched in a hydrolysate containing these peptides showed lower (approximately 15 mmHg) systolic blood pressure than animals fed a control diet, so the peptide SQPK was a potential antihypertensive peptide (data not shown).
