Antihypertensive activity

The hydrolysates containing ACE inhibitor (peptide YQEPVLGPVRGPFPIIV) from caseins showed a clear antihypertensive action a spontaneously hypertensive rat at a dosage of 15 mg/kg (-29.8 mm Hg at 4 h), so the peptide was a potential antihypertensive peptide.
