Biological/Functional activity & target protein
Anxiolytic-like activity

YLPR did not show anxiolytic-like activity, suggesting that C-terminal Arg is necessary for the anxiolytic-like activity of ovolin. Other C-terminal truncated peptides, such as VY and VYL were also inactive. In contrast, N-terminal truncation of ovolin (YLPR, LPR, PR) gradually lowered the anxiolytic-like activity. These results suggest that the C-terminal structure of ovolin seems to be more important for anxiolytic-like activity than the N-terminal.
