Biological/Functional activity & target protein
DPP IV-inhibitory activity

The peptide FPIL was found to inhibit Dipeptidyl-peptidase IV (EC 3.4.14.5) by 13.1 ± 3.2% when tested at a concentration of 1 mg/mL compared with the control. The activity of peptides was compared with that of a sitagliptin inhibitor (positive control). Peptides were assayed at a concentration of 1 mg/mL. Values are the mean of triplicate samples.
