Hypocholesterolemic activity

An in vitro test for measuring 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase (HMGR, EC 1.1.1.88) inhibition showed that the synthesized peptide IAVPTGVA spossessed hypocholesterinemic properties. According to the results, the IC50 for IAVPTGVA was measured as 93.3 μM.
