Immunomodulatory activity

Oryzatensin showed phagocytosis-promoting activity above 1 μM for human polymorphonuclear leukocytes. The phagocytic index was about 1.5 times higher than the control value, and the effect was dose-dependent. Moreover Oryzatensin also augmented the production of superoxide anion by human peripheral leukocytes.
