Biological/Functional activity & target protein
Stimulating activity

Glucagon-Like Peptide 1 (GLP-1) enhancing capacity of the peptide was investigated. STC-1 cells were treated 2 h with each peptide tested at 0.1 and 1 mM. Tested at 0.1 mM, TKAVEH stood out by significantly increasing GLP-1 levels compared to control effect (Tukey's posthoc test, p < 0.05). GLP-1 amounts induced by TKAVEH reached 774.8 ± 40.7 pM while GLP-1 control amounts reached 37.0 ± 12.3 pM.
