Biological/Functional activity & target protein
ACE-inhibitory activity

The final rapeseed protein hydrolysate (FRPH) exhibited potent Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme (ACE) (EC 3.4.15.1) inhibitory activity with an IC50 value of 0.1034 ± 0.0024 mg/mL. The peptide PNECQL was isolated from the FRPH using electrodialysis with ultrafiltration membrane (EDUF) technology, so it was a potential ACE-inhibitory peptide (data not shown).
