Antithrombotic activity

The peptide could potently prolonged the thrombin time (TT)  and the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) in a dose-dependant manner. This result implies that the peptide extracts inhibit coagulation factors such as FXIIa, FXIa, tenase components (FIXa, FVIIIa, FX, Ca2+, phospholipids) in the intrinsic blood coagulation pathway [2].
