The platelet aggregation-inhibitory activity was estimated at three different hydrolysate concentrations (0.6, 6 and 60 μg/mL) using the adenosine diphosphate (ADP) secretion assay in the presence of 0.1 μmol/L TRAP. No significant differences (P > 0.05) were observed between the platelet aggregation-inhibitory activities of hydrolysates at concentrations of 0.6 and 6 μg/mL. However, the 60 μg/mL hydrolsyates showed significantly (P < 0.05) higher platelet aggregation-inhibitory activity (∼30%) compared with the control, similar to that of the synthetic antithrombotic compounds aspirin and indomethacin. |
